Why I’ve been away

I’ve been sick with strep throat (although I am now about 95%), and I’ve had a lot of golf meets recently (up here in Michigan, HS boys golf is in the spring), so that’s why I haven’t been around lately. I will take a few more days off, but by the beginning of next week, I should be back in full-swing mode.

The Cards won 5-2. Todd Wellemeyer finally pitched a good game, and the Cards’ bats were alive again. Also, Rick Ankiel was put on the DL for 15 days because of the scary head-to-wall crash earlier this week.

My view on the Manny steroid situation: I’m really quite surprised. I’m even more shocked that he was busted for using a women’s fertility drug. How often do you see that?
