| About Me: I love my hometown state of Colorado I was born here & I currently live here. Colorado is my #1 favorite state while Chicago is my #1 favorite City; Denver’s a great city too but how can ya beat the windy city of Chicago? My mom is from Chicago & some of her family (including my grandmother) still live there, sadly, I haven’t been to Chicago since 2001 while my mom was their back in 2007 for a family wedding. But still, I miss going to Chicago & going to a Cubs game it’s not a trip to Chicago w/o seeing Da Cubbies.
Yes the Colorado Rockies own my heart, soul & my life but I grew up in Colorado a Cubs & Yankees fan — back when I was a kid the only baseball team I remember Colorado had were the Denver Zephyrs back in the 1980’s & they weren’t in the Majors — I’ve never been to a Yankees game in the old Yankees Stadium either but I have been to 2 Yanks vs Rox games 1st back in 2002 & the 2nd back in 2007. I live with my mom, sister, her kids & my step dad & I graduated from High School back in 1997 & I can’t afford collage or otherwise I’d be there instead of at home. |

| Why I Love Baseball: Why not? Baseball is the only sport I follow & pay more attention to, my dad got me hooked onto baseball at the age of 2 & I’ve never stopped loving it since even during the strike of 1994. To quote Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks’ character in A League of their Own”); Baseball is what gets inside you. It’s what lights you up, you can’t deny that. It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard… is what makes it great. That is one of the quotes I live by the other is the “People will come Ray” speech by Terrance Mann (James Earl Jones) from “Field of Dreams”.
The other reason why I love baseball is the sound of the bat hitting the ball, fans cheering for their team & the all out excitement of the sport. |

| Other Stuff: I’m not only blogging for the Rockies I also work for them as an employee of Event Services LLC. We’re the Rockies On-the-field Security team, their Ushers, Ticket Takers, Gate Guards & Guest Relations staff. It’s such an honor to work for them and an envy to any Rockies fans like myself because I get to go inside places in Coors Field no fan can go unless they take the Coors Field tour as well as getting autographs from Rockies Players on the last week of the final home stand and have an end of the season staff party where they raffle off some one-of-a-kind Rockies memorabilia autographed by the Rockies as well as other special items from the other home teams (Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids, Mammoth, Etc.) | |
