| About Me: My name is Dan, and I am an avid fan of baseball, as well as football, hockey, college basketball, and NASCAR. I also am a baseball card and autograph collector that graphs the minor leagues. In the summer, I go to a few Kane County Cougars games, who are affiliates of the Oakland Athletics, and get many autographs there, and also meet the players. My favorite athletes are Frank Thomas, Brett Pill, Josh Phelps, John Abraham, Ondrej Pavelec, Reed Sorenson, and Jordan LaVallee. Also, I have Type 1 Diabetes, Celiac Disease, and am on treatment for high blood pressure. | |
| Why I Love Baseball: Why do I love baseball? My dad got me involved in the game as a 4 year-old playing T-ball, and I guess I just stayed with the game. The reason I am a White Sox fan dates back to the T-ball days, and is a long story. I have played baseball through my park district every single year, and watched it as well. I just fell in love with the game at a young age…….the history is amazing! And the Black Sox Scandal really got me more interested. | |
