Mets, need some restructure, it all dates back to that choke they had a few years ago…

I agree completely. They need restructuring within upper management, other personnel, and on the field. The latter being most important of course. I have offered rational and irrational ideas (trade-wise). I think we should trade expensive players such as oliver perez & luis castillo (to the cubs for Bradley) just to cut salary and carlos beltran to the giants along with a top notch positional prospect or sp prospect for Matt Cain if they can afford beltran’s salary and then trade for another cf in bj upton (arbitration eligible & a rough year)or an even more accessible option in carlos gomez back from the twins – he shouldn’t cost too much at all considering they have denard span. Gomez would probably only yield a B/C middle infield & corner infield prospect – both near future minnesota needs. I think the Twins and Mets could and should also discuss Liriano(a horrible 2009). I really don’t mind Daniel Murphy, Chris Carter, and Ike Davis sharing 1b duties and saving salary otherwise, I have no problem trading Murphy, Fernando Martinez, MI prospect, Mike Pelfrey, and a B- SP prospect for Prince Fielder. If we let Delgado, Putz, Wagner, Beltran, Castillo and Perez go, and net Gomez/Upton, Fielder, & Bradley I think the Mets could then sign Chone Figgins for 2b (since castillo’s conceptually gone) as well as John Lackey/Randy Wolf:
2010 Rotation:
Johan Santana; Lackey/Wolf; Matt Cain; John Maine; Jon Niese; Parnell/Mejia/Holt/Misch/Nieve/Figueroa
2010 Lineup:
Chone Figgins/2b
Jose Reyes/ss
David Wright/3b
Prince Fielder/1b
Milton Bradley/lf
Jeff Francoeur/rf
Upton/Gomez/Pagan/cf
Thole/Santos/Schneider/c
BEAUTIFUL Rotation & Lineup, eh?
